Centre Guidelines for Participants
The guidelines below have been created to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants during activities with Harbour Challenge Outdoor Education Centre. The guidelines for appropriate centre use will be explained in more detail to all participants upon arrival to the centre/activity location.
General
Sensible and appropriate behaviour must be shown Centre staff must be listened to and respected Boundaries must be kept to Respect for others and their property must be given Cleaning is a part of visiting the centre and the participants help is essential, not optional Working together with other members of your team is necessary in all activities Adhering to centre rules is mandatory
Fire
Smoking is not permitted inside the activity centre, on campsite and any activities that we are running. Participants will be made familiar with all fire procedures upon arrival to the centre, campsite or locations.
Valuable items
Harbour Challenge requests that no valuable items including mobile phones are brought to the centre. If you wish still to bring them, it is at the owner’s risk. Harbour Challenge has no storage facilities for such items, Harbour Challenge accepts no liability for any loss or damage to such items. Harbour Challenge Data Protection Statement The information on this form is required for the purpose of managing risk associated with participants undertaking adventurous outdoor activities. The information is covered by the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998. The information is for the use of Harbour Challenge Outdoor Education Centre only and may only be passed to medical staff or officers of the law if deemed absolutely necessary.
Gift Aid Declaration – Harbour Challenge OEC Ltd.
In order to Gift Aid your donation you must tick the box below: I want to Gift Aid my donation, I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
Declaration
I hereby give my consent for the above named participant to take part in activities organised by Harbour Challenge Outdoor Education Centre, and understand that by signing below the participant agrees to adhere to the above centre guidelines. I agree and understand to the risks that may occur to certain activities. I also agree to pay any charges that are due before the course/activity can take place. I give permission for the participant to be videoed and/or photographed to further the aims of Harbour Challenge; any person/s who wishes not to be photographed must inform Harbour Challenge in writing before commencement of the course/activity.
