Open Bronze Practice and Qualifying Expeditions

 
Open Bronze  Training & Practice Expedition: Walking  

Harbour Challenge Outdoor Education Centre is based on Brownsea Island in the heart of Poole Harbour in Dorset. We offer expedition skills training for independent participants over four days. The four days are split into 2 days training covering equipment, food and cooking, camp craft, first aid and emergency procedures, map skills, route planning, practical navigation, safety issues and the countryside code.  The following two days will cover the practice expedition. All of our walking expeditions take place in the New forest or over the rolling hills of the Purbecks.

The cost of this package is £140 for the four days which includes campsite fees and food for the first two days.

We are running the Bronze Open Walking Expedition training package on the following dates:

Walking 10th – 13th April Spaces Available
Walking 6th – 9th August Spaces Available
Walking 21st – 24th October Spaces Available
Walking 23rd – 26th October Spaces Available

Other dates may be arranged on request. Please contact us if our scheduled dates are not suitable.

Open Bronze Walking Qualifying Expedition

Harbour Challenge Outdoor Education Centre is based on Brownsea Island in the heart of Poole Harbour in Dorset. We offer qualifying walking expeditions for independent participants over three days. The three days are split into one day’s preparation covering equipment, food and cooking, camp craft, first aid and emergency procedure, map skills, route planning, practical navigation, safety issues and the countryside code. The following two days will cover the qualifying expedition. All of our walking expeditions take place in the New forest or over the rolling hills of the Purbecks.

The cost of this package is £120 for the three days which includes campsite fees and food for the first day.

We are running the Bronze Open Walking Qualifying Expedition package on the following dates:

Walking 27th – 29th April Spaces Available
Walking 5th – 7th June Spaces Available
Walking 14th – 16th August Spaces Available
Walking 25th – 27th October Spaces Available

The following two days will cover the practice expedition. All of our water based expeditions take place in Poole Harbour incorporating the rivers Piddle and Frome.

The cost of this package is £180 for the four days which includes campsite fees and food for the first two days.

We are running Bronze Open Water Based Expedition training packages on the following dates:

Canoeing 3rd – 6th April Completed
Sailing 23rd – 26th July Spaces Available
Kayaking 20th – 23rd August Spaces Available
