Dinghy Sailing Courses for Youth

We offer sailing courses based on the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme for under 16s. Different age groups and ability levels are catered for in our program of courses. Instruction takes place in the safe waters of Poole Harbour, safety boats and instructors are always in attendance with a maximum ratio of eight students to one instructor.

When any youth sailing stages are completed the appropriate certificate will be issued, logbooks can be purchased at any time through your instructor or the office, and all completed parts can be signed off by your instructor. Courses are fully supervised by a senior instructor and the centre manager In the event of bad weather, alternative activities will be provided on all courses.

You will be meet at Poole Quay by one of our centre managers and escorted to our centre on Brownsea.

RYA Stage One Youth Sailing Course (8-16) 2 Day Course Full 3 day course. Price starting from £95 per person.

For the beginners or those with little experience this course is an excellent introduction to the fun and excitement of dinghy sailing. Our instructors will teach you how to rig and sail these fantastic dinghies

RYA Stage Two Youth Sailing Course (8-16) 3 Day Course Full 2 day course. Price starting from £95 per person.

For those having completed their Stage One. This course will develop skills and confidence further, as well as introduce new techniques and skills.

Times: 0900-1700 each day

RYA Stage Three Youth Sailing Course (8-16) 5 Day Course Full 5 day course. Price starting from £195 per person.

For those having completed their Stage Two. This course will develop skills and confidence further, as well as introduce new techniques and skills.

RYA Stage Four Youth Sailing Course (8-16) 5 Day Course Full 5 day course. Price starting from £195 per person.

For those having completed their Stage three. This course will develop skills and confidence further, as well as introduce new techniques and skills.

Practice Days (8-16) 1Day (pre requisite stage 2)£30.00 includes ferry fee’s and entry to Brownsea Island

A golden opportunity to spend time on the water , to practice and hone those skills learned in stage 1 and 2. Practice groups are accompanied by an instructor to help with those pointers. This is an ideal opportunity to get ready for the next stage.
