RYA Level 1

Comprising of six lessons of 2.5 hours each. This programme is suited to those wanting to achieve a competent level of sailing ability. Boats used are: Laser Pico, Wayfarers and Enterprises. This course provides a short introduction to sailing for novices.

By the end of the course, participants will have had a basic understanding of boat handling techniques and background knowledge. It is recommended that all participants consolidate this short introduction with the  Level 2 course. 

Practical and theory work will be assessed on a continuous basis though.

Students will be kept informed of their individual progress throughout the course.
