Powerboat Training
The RYA National Powerboat Training Courses are for those wanting to drive small open powerboats such as RIBs (rigid inflatable boats), sports boats and small launches.
These powerboats are generally powered by an outboard engine, do not normally have accommodation on board, and so are not intended for extended cruises. They may be used for short coastal or inland trips, fishing, safety cover for other watersports, waterskiing or as a support boat for diving.
What ever you use a powerboat for, leisure, work, or in connection with another activity such as sailing or rescue, we have a powerboat training course for you
Powerboat Training
The powerboat training comprises a series of practical courses which can be complemented by our navigation and other one-day support courses.
Powerboat Training Courses can be taken either onboard a centre’s boat or your own boat and you can enter at any level, provided you have the relevant experience beforehand. Be realistic when assessing your current experience and abilities and, if in doubt, discuss your requirements with your chosen Training Centre before booking your course.
Further information on theses powerboat training courses can be found by clicking the link RYA website or following our links to our powerboat training course pages.
