Climbing Course’s

 

One Day Course

This One Day Course will introduce to Rock Climbing and inspire you to continue the sport. The day will introduce you to moving on rock and climbing with ropes. An action packed day; you will have an enjoyable experience with a professional and experienced instructor.

You can ‘add-on’ to this course by joining us on Day Two of a Two Day Introductory Course, should you wish to further your climbing skills and learn more about rope techniques for independent climbing.

No experience required for this course, but it is also a fantastic start outside for those who’ve done a bit of climbing indoors.

These run from 10am until 4pm

£65 pp Min of two required

Two Day Course

Learn to Rock Climb in a weekend?

Well, the technique comes with practise, but you can certainly learn the basics in two days. We will talk about appropriate footwear and equipment. You will learn how to tie knots for climbing and how to safely set up ropes. We will also discuss environmental issues of Southern limestone and good climbing practice. On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a certificate of proficiency to show that you can confidently set your own equipment well enough to climb on Southern Limestone .

No experience required for this course, but it is also a fantastic start outside for those who’ve done a bit of climbing indoors.

These run from 9am – 3pm

£110 pp Min of two required

Six Week Course (Saturday Mornings)

This course is based on the cliffs off Swanage or in the quarries and cliffs at Portland but also includes other venues locally. Come along each week on a Saturday morning and experience scrambling, rock climbing and abseiling . As well as learning to climb effectively, we will talk about appropriate footwear and equipment. You will learn how to tie knots for climbing and how to safely set up ropes. We will also discuss environmental issues of Southern limestone and good climbing practice. On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a certificate of proficiency to show that you can confidently set your own equipment well enough to climb on Southern Limestone .

No experience required for this course, but it is also a fantastic start outside for those who’ve done a bit of climbing indoors.

These run from 10am  - 1pm
